

What is an Orthotist?
An Orthotist is a professionally trained healthcare professional
who can assess and treat individuals who present with
physical and/or functional limitations by utilizing a range of
devices which affix externally to a pre-existing body part.
Orthotic devices can range from relatively simple CAM boots
which prevent unwanted movements in the foot and ankle
region, to complex devices which encompass entire limbs to
account for functional loss.

What is a Prosthetist?

A Prosthetist is a professionally trained healthcare professional
who can assess and treat individuals with who are missing a
part of their body with the use of a prosthetic device.
​
These devices range from relatively small and simple
prosthesis such as artificial toes and fingers to serve a
cosmetic purpose, to complex devices which aim to replace
the function of entire limbs often by utilizing microprocessor
technology

About us
​
INSPO is the brain child of Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist
Ken White, with collaboration from General Practitioners,
Physiotherapist and Podiatrists from the North Melbourne
community.
​
Graduating with a Masters Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics
from La Trobe University, Ken is a multi award winning clinician
with experience within both the public and private settings of
the field. With a keen interest in ailments which commonly
afflict individuals at the community level, Ken is passionate in
ensuring the best health outcomes occur for everyone.

Ken is a practitioner certified by the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
